EMDR therapy

EMDR is a highly effective treatment for dealing with traumatic memories and easing symptoms of PTSD.

When we experience a distressing event, it often isn’t stored correctly in our brain, thus leaving it easily triggered resulting in flashbacks and unresolved distress. EMDR is a brain-based therapy that uses eye moments to engage parts of the brain responsible for safely storing these difficult memories.

This reprocessing of the memory makes it less distressing and is often achieved more quickly than with traditional talk therapy.
